We are a referral service. This website belongs to no roofing company and does no roof work of any kind. We don't vouch for any roofer's skill, coverage, license or registration. Checking those things is up to you, and the city or town office that issued them can confirm them.

Costs are estimates. Price ranges on this site come from published New York statewide figures (RoofObservations, 2026), not from any Buffalo bid. The cost calculator does simple math with those figures. Your roof's real price depends on its size, pitch, layers, decking and materials, and only a written estimate from a roofer reflects that.

Rules and permits. Our summaries of New York law are simplified and may leave out details or exceptions. Permit rules differ by city, town and village, so ask your roofer and your local building office what applies at your address.

Insurance. We don't review policies or claims, and nothing here predicts what an insurer will pay. Questions about coverage belong with your insurer, and the New York State Department of Financial Services can help with insurance questions.

Storms. Any storm history on the site is past weather, drawn from public records, and is offered for background only.

No ties to government. We aren't part of, endorsed by or working with the City of Buffalo, Erie County, any town or village, the State of New York or any federal agency. Any office we mention is named so you can contact it yourself.
